What’s Cooking

What was being cooked in my kitchen today? Some really good stuff. I love cooking from scratch with real food, no pre made factory jarred sauces from the supermarket. Keeping my food as preservative, and chemically free as possible.

Today I started breakfast with a Banana and almond smoothie. 1/2 a banana, almonds, vanilla organic protein powder, Tahini, almond milk and ice cubes. Blended

For lunch I cooked Cauliflower Soup. Roasted cauliflower, garlic, ginger, vegetable stock, turmeric, chilli and cream – blended and served with sourdough bread

Next up Tea, Chicken Miso Satay. Chicken thigh fillets, satay sauce ( curry powder, turmeric, garlic, coconut milk from carton, apple cider vinegar, tamari, peanut butter, fresh lime juice, and white miso paste). Served with a sprinkle of crushed peanuts, steamed bok choy and broccoli.

And a special treat, dessert. Home made orange 🍊 self saucing pudding . Made with freshly squeezed orange juice which was amazing!

  1. A Saturday cook up for you & me both. I cooked beef stroganoff, mini quiches, sausage rolls & the yummiest of sticky date puddings. Delish!
    The stroganoff & pudding was for dinner, the savouries in preparation for our little 2 year olds party today. Happy cooking gf. J x
